Devon Toews - Class of 2012 - Hockey
Devon Toews graduated in 2012 and two years later he was drafted 108th overall by the New York Islanders in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Now, he currently plays for the Colorado Avalanche NHL team.
Shea Theodore - Class of 2013 - Hockey
Shea Theodore was apart of Yale's 2013 grad class and in that year he was drafted first round by the Anaheim Ducks. In 2017 he was traded to the Las Vegas Knights and has since won the 2023 Stanley Cup.
Jake Virtanen - Class of 2014 - Hockey
In Jake Virtanen's grade 12 year, he was drafted into the NHL 6th overall by the Vancouver Canucks and a year later signed an entry-level contract with the Canucks. Currently, he is playing for the Fischtown Pinguins in Germany.
Nick Taylor - Class of 2006 - Golf
After graduating in 2006, Nick Taylor became a professional golfer in 2010 and who plays on the PGA tour. During those years, he has won the tour three times. As well as that, he was the first Canadian to win the Canadian Open since 1954.
Marek Klassen - Class of 2010 - Basketball
Marek Klassen went on to play college basketball for Point Loma Nazarene located in San Diego, CA, then he went on to play professional basketball in Europe and is currently playing for AS Karditsas in Greece. Marek also plays for the Fraser Valley Bandits.
Mackenzie Carson - Class of 2016 - Rugby
Mackenzie Carson graduated in 2016 and went on to UBC to play for the UBC thunderbirds throughout her studies. Mackenzie represented Canada three times then continued her career in England playing club rugby in Bristol. She now plays for the Gloucester-Hartpury in Premiership Women's Rugby as well as the England national team at an international level.
Shalaya Valenzuela - Class of 2017 - Rugby
After graduating in 2017, Shayla played university rugby for UFV, then transferred and played for UVIC. Shalya has won the Premier's Award for Indigenous excellence in sports and is a member of the Team Canada 7's Program. She currently plays professional rugby with the Minnesota Loonies.
Sofie Schlagintweit - 2008 - Volleyball
After graduating in 2008, Sofie went on to play volleyball at Arizona State University. In 2009 she was a part of Canada's Senior Women's National Team. While she was at Arizona State she was a part of the All Academic Team and was also the captain for the 2011-2012 season.
Noah Juulsen - 2015 - Hockey
After graduating in 2015, Noah Juulsen was drafted into the NHL 26th overall pick by the Montreal Canadiens, he agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract with the Canadiens. He is now playing for the Canucks.
Alexa Tielmann - 2012 - Water Polo
After graduating in 2012, Alexa Tielmann went on to have 4 very successful years at UCLA. While at UCLA Alexa was also a part of the Canada Women's National Team. In 2015, Alexa helped Canada earn a silver medal -- the country’s first medal in women’s water polo.
Tracy MacLeod - 1989 - Basketball
After graduating in 1989, Tracy MacLeod went on to play Brandon University where she suffered a catastrophic injury in only her second game. While attempting a layup, MacLeod came down awkwardly and snapped both the tibia and fibula in her right leg. As an MVP and multi-sport star at the high-school and college level, walking away from sports was not an option. MacLeod was faced with the decision of whether or not to have her leg amputated. After getting her leg amputated she finished a successful career as a Bobcat. One of her most notable accomplishments is having a national award named after her, the Tracy MacLeod Inspirational Award
