Student Voice is about improving student success. As key stakeholder’s students should be active participants in shaping what education looks like. It’s about going straight to the source—students!
Student Voice is about developing empathy. Empathy is about being able to understand someone else's perspective and feelings. One of the only ways to do this is to get to know your students so that you can understand what motivates and empowers them.
Student Voice is about Storytelling. Storytelling is a great way to learn more about student experiences, values, and lives. By listening to stories & re-engaging with the art of listening, stories not only inform us, but they can also change us. Data informs, but stories with genuine connection propel change!
Student Voice is more than just listening, its about taking action. It involves giving students real opportunities to take part in the design their own learning environment & experiences.
