Indigenous Education

Cyndi Orth (cyndi.orth@abbyschools.ca) – Indigenous Support Worker – she will be working with all the Indigenous students in every capacity from cultural support, social and emotional support, post-secondary support, student success, and if any other issues should arise.

Every Indigenous Student in the District must have a signed Education Consultation form signed by a parent/guardian every year.  If you have not already done so this year, please click on the document  file at the bottom and fill it out and return it to Yale Secondary School.
 

Grade 12 Students

If you are a Metis Person in Grade 12, you are eligible to apply for Training Dollars.  The ASETS program offers opportunities for you.   If you are interested in Trades, or a certificate or diploma program, they have funding to assist with your training.  Their program also assists the final 2 years of a degree program.  They also offer Wage Subsidies, Employee Supports and Career Placement.  See Mrs. Orth in B204 for more information.
