Exploring Passions: WJ Mouat's Club Fair Unites Students in Community Spirit
On Friday, September 20th, was the much-anticipated Annual WJ Mouat Club Fair. This long-standing tradition, which has been a cornerstone of WJ Mouat school culture, once again demonstrated the vibrant community spirit and the many opportunities for students to get involved.
This year’s Club Fair highlighted over 25 booths, each representing a unique student-led club or extracurricular activity. From academic clubs like Math, Code and Cut, and Creative Writing to creative groups such as the Indigenous Art Club and Film Bros, and service-driven organizations like key Club and the Green Team, the fair was brimming with opportunities for students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and, most importantly, make connections.
The energy in the room was palpable as students moved from booth to booth, learning about the incredible variety of activities available to them. Whether their passion lies in sports, leadership, culture, or community service, there truly was something for everyone.
What makes this event so special is not just the wide array of clubs on offer, but also the sense of community it fosters. At WJ Mouat, we believe that extracurricular activities play a crucial role in shaping the student experience, helping them build friendships, find support, and develop a sense of belonging. The Club Fair is a shining example of how we encourage students to engage with their school beyond the classroom and to connect with peers who share similar interests.
Together, let’s continue to support our students as they discover new passions, grow as individuals, and contribute to the vibrant community we have at WJ Mouat Secondary.
